Local Priorities Fraud Message

Local Priorities Fraud Message

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Fraud, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

We have received reports of individuals calling door-to-door offering roofing repairs and claiming that roofs are damaged or require urgent work when this may not be the case. In some instances, residents have been pressured into agreeing to unnecessary repairs at excessive costs.

Please be cautious if approached unexpectedly by tradespeople. Do not feel pressured to make an immediate decision, and always seek a second opinion from a trusted, reputable contractor before agreeing to any work.

If you have any concerns about cold callers or believe you may have been targeted by a rogue trader, please report it to the relevant authorities and let family, friends, and neighbours know so they can remain vigilant.

Please rate this message as it helps us to see if this information is useful for you. Thanks
